About the event
Doors open at 5pm, and kids will first enjoy some quality wild play time with Play MC Sebastian Steinbach, before
Claire Takemori kicks off the dancing with fun, easy community folk dances. If you can walk and hold hands, you can dance!   Every dance will be  kid-friendly and will be taught, then prompted with recorded fiddle  music.
Pizza dinner will replenish our energy, before we are transported into another wild, expressive space with Light & Sound during Kids Disco (complete with ample breaks to snack, hydrate, rest or just ... be). We look forward to receiving your music requests!
Pattie Makuta will help us integrate our experience and find stillness with movement meditation and relaxation as our evening together wraps up.Â
This evening is designed as a drop off event, and parents are invited to enjoy an evening out on their own. However, if your child prefers to have Mom or Dad close by to feel most comfortable, all parents/guardians are welcome to stay and join the fun, free of charge.Â
This is a mask optional event - feel free to wear a mask, or not. Entry is granted regardless of vaccination status.
About the Organizers
Claire Takemori (dance teacher) has been dancing since she was 3 years  old.  As a homeschool parent, it was natural to bring music and dance to  the community.  She regularly leads family dances, teen dances, as well  as contra dance, english country dance, square dance and waltz lessons. https://facebook.com/ClaireTakemoriDanceCaller/
Pattie Makuta feels so very blessed to have been able to teach and share her  love for dance and yoga for a total of over eighteen years.  Her innate  affinity for expression through movement led her to excel in ballet at a  young age.  By 16, she became a dancer and later a soloist for the Utah  Ballet company, and also began teaching all levels of ballet from  toddlers through advanced students.  Pattie also received many  scholarships to the University of Utah as a ballet major of fine arts  where she studied ballet technique, performance  repertoire,  jazz,   modern dance, Pilates, teaching technique, and kinesiology.  She continues to dance and perform in the bay area whenever possible.
Sebastian Steinbach grew up in rural Germany, surrounded  by forest, meadows and creeks. After discovering much of Europe through  his studies, work and extensive travel, his sense of adventure pulled  him "out west" and into San Francisco. He enjoyed volunteering in his  children's sports teams, cub scouts, and school organizations, and discovered his talent for creating unique experiences during the many birthday parties of his three children. His Wild Hearts Kids Club blends  this heritage with inspiration from Sebastian's transformational inner  work at Leap Forward,  the outrageous, playful creativity of Burning Man, his experience as a  Martial Arts teacher, and his own "wild heart" that still loves to  explore, discover and play "full out"!
